The Fulton County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Scholarship Award
The Fulton County Chamber of Commerce and Tourism is pleased to award an annual scholarship to one graduating senior residing in each of the three county school districts. The scholarship amount is $500.00 per student. The scholarship will be granted based on a submission by the student stating why they feel it is important to be involved in their community and to outline what they have done to support that belief. The student must have plans for college or technical school in any field and there is no requirement that they plan to stay in Fulton County. The request must be presented as follows: Paper Requirements:
The submission must be typed, and the student must sign their name at the end of their paper and include their address. Paper must be at least two pages in length and include a title page. The title page must list the student’s school district, their name and age, and the college they have applied to. It should also contain a brief statement of what the student’s future plans are. On the remaining pages, the student should detail why they feel it is important to be involved in their community and outline what they have done to support that belief.
The scholarship request must be at the Chamber Office, P.O. Box 141, McConnellsburg, PA 17233, by May 3, 2024. Winners will be announced by a Chamber representative at the graduation ceremonies at each district school.
