FFFF Drone Show

The Fulton County Chamber of Commerce & Tourism is excited to announce a special event marking the 50th annual Fulton Fall Folk Festival: a drone show featuring over 100 drones. Organizer Helen Overly, who orchestrated the event 50 years ago, extends a heartfelt invitation to the community and surrounding areas, underlining their integral role in making this event a success. The Fulton Fall Folk Festival, a cherished and long-standing tradition in our community for the past 50 years, has brought in thousands of visitors to revel in the beautiful fall foliage, apple butter boils, steam engines, and, of course, the parade.  The three-day event will begin on October 18, 2024. It is an annual homecoming tradition for many locals, with hundreds returning to their roots to share traditions and memories from years gone by, as well as creating new memories for the future.

Overly states.  “The viewing area for the drone show will be at the Fulton County Fairgrounds, 888 Lincoln Way East, on October 19 at 8:30 p.m., in conjunction with the Grease, Steam & Rust events held on the grounds. It will feature images celebrating 50 years of Fulton County’s heritage.” Overly has been working with the drone company Firefly Drone Shows ™ and local businesses for several months to coordinate this once-in-a-lifetime event.  No stranger to marketing the event, Overly penned a special song in 1974 and recorded it in 2016 that you can check out on YouTube: “ Let’s Go to the County, The Fulton Fall Folk Festival Song.”  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UAaUGq1WE-E.
