Fulton County Conservation District

WE CONSERVE – WE PROTECT – WE RESTORE
The Fulton County Conservation District is a local agency that provides conservation-based programs and services to the residents of Fulton County. The Conservation District acts as a clearinghouse for natural resource information, community conservation concerns and local environmental efforts.

The purpose of the Conservation District is to promote the protection, management, improvement and wise use of Fulton County’s soil, water and other natural resources. The Fulton County Conservation District carries out these responsibilities through four major program areas: agricultural conservation, environmental education, erosion and sediment pollution control and watershed conservation.

The Conservation District operates under the guiding philosophy that decisions about local conservation issues should be made at the local level by citizens who understand the local environment. An active, knowledgeable board of district directors and a professional, well-trained staff are the foundation for the success of the Fulton County Conservation District.
